You Need to Change

You need to change, they say
You walk a little funny
Your smile a little crooked
And your attitude's all wrong
You need to change, they say
Follow the rules, listen and obey
Sacrifice is the key, pride an enemy
subservience for bliss was guaranteed
You need to change, they say
the kicks were to steady
the violence an absolute necessity
to build character, go a long way
You need to change they say
the social construct demands it
all selfishness be done away with
to live the life as we see fit
You need to change, they say
work the way as the norms are set
don't work your brain, lay it to rest
leave the thinking to us, the best
You need to change, they say
Every day till the end of days
