Lost in Time

This was written 2005 when I was really struggling to find my place in the world.

Like a portrait hung on the wall

For Centuries to come and go

Awaiting us to plunder the haul

No matter us be a friend or a foe

A decade nor a million years

Can quell the sadness in the flowing tears

Secrets of life buried deep within

Waiting to spill forth, but hope holding thin

Once a stagger, twice a fall

Many there, and still, none at all

Fears propounding a burdened mind

Someone to trust is a wish to find

Lost in this vast universe

A heartbeat caught in time

Thoughts wild in chaos converse

An endless wait, a sure sign
